Zoonosis or zoonotic disease which are caused by germs ( bacteria, virus, fungus etc) that spread between people and animals.
Eg : Rabies, bird flu, swine flu etc.

Route of transmission :

                 Droplets ( coughing, sneezing)
                 Nasal discharges

Animal to human transmission :

Evidence of animal playing significant role in spread of covid to people. Based on information available, the risk of animal spreading covid 19 to people is very low. However, because all animals can carry germs that can make people sick, it is always a good idea that practice healthy habits around the pets.
Eg :Washing hands regularly after handling of pets.
Practice good hygiene and clean regularly
Take the dog to the veterinarian incase of any symptoms.
The 1st case of covid 19 in animals are reported from bronx zoo in tiger in Newyork.

In the recent fact (may 2021) that 8 lions in nehru zoological park of Hyderabad tested positive.

We know that companion animals are at more risk but we don't know exactly that all of the animals can get infected.
A small number of pet dogs and cats have been reported to be infected with SARS COV 2 virus in several countries.

Research on animals and covid 19 :
