Making the dog for shows

             

   The first and foremost thing to make the breed appear fancy depends on breed selection, as in most of the cases the hairy breeds appears to be more attractive than others.

   The other conditions to make the dog appear to be fanciful include:

Bathing :

                 Regular bathing of dogs removes the dirt on the dogs coat and also prevents attracting of tick, lice, mites etc which not only causes health problems at the same time they also leads to loss of hair (patchy hairloss) and other, leading to animal appearing uglier. Using the dog shampoos for bathing, care to be care inorder to prevent Swallowing of shampoo which is posionous to dog and also care to be taken to keep dog warm after bathing in winter. 

Nail trimming :

                It is done as a regular exercise once for every 6 months as a routine practice with nail clippers. This practice is mainly done in order to keep the dog healthy and hygiene. It is also done for dog shows, as it prevents the slipping of dogs at the time of ramp walk on slippery floors.

                         Care to be taken while nail trimming inorder to prevent touching of nail clipper to quick (the pink area of the nail that contains blood vessels.) incase of bleeding apply icepack or applying stypic powder, bandages etc.

Grooming :

                     Dog grooming is both as a hygienic care and cleaning of a dog as well as a process by which dog appearance is enhanced for showing  or other types of competition.

                     Short haired breeds need grooming or brushing once a week whereas as long haired breeds required daily or day by day. Some breeds like terriers require  trimming of hair inorder to remove dead hair and in some places coat is to be shortened according to the standards of breed.

Making the dog hair shiny :

                  Like the human hair, canine hair also continuous to grow, and without attention, can easily become easily matted. In order to become coat shinny it require regular grooming and daily care.

                Never dry brush your dog apply water and conditioner while grooming the dog. Treat knots and mats gently by picking as much apart with fingers as you can and works from the ends upto mat get out.

               Nutritious quality dog food is necessary important to maintain a healthy skin coat. Add omega - 3,6 fatty acids to your dog diet inorder to add extra shine to your dog coat.

              Omega 6 fatty acids for promoting healthy skin and achieving a shiny coat. Another benefit is that it helps to fight infection.
