GASTRITIS IN DOG'S

                        It is a condition in dog that results from the inflammation of the lining of gastrointestinal system. It may be acute or chronic gastritis. It depends on the period of persistance of symptoms ( vomitions)  Acute gastritis : less than 24 hours  Chronic gastritis : upto 2 weeks Causes :  Dietary indiscretion ( ingestion of foreign materials or spoiled food) Drugs or toxic ingestion ( antibiotics, NSAID, fertilisers etc) Systemic illness (pancreatitis) Endo-parasite infection Viral infections( parvo viral infection) Liver disease  Kidney disease  Food allergy.  Symptoms : Vomitions  Loss of appetite and weight loss Dehydration  Excessive thirst Black stools Abdominal pain Blood in stools or vomit.
